Beltangady, 18 Nov 2017: The interest in literature, music and art makes life complete. If one puts on hard work, fully devoted; he/she is likely to get what one aspires for. We can create top literature by penning our life experiences, said renowned litterateur Sudhamurti.
Sudhamurti was speaking after inaugurating 85th Literary Conventin that was organized as part of Lakshadeepotsav at Dharmasthala, here, on Friday, November 17.
The life experiences shape the literature. Everyone has a unique quality. Mere earning money is not important in life. The love, empathy, trust and human virtues strengthen the relations that become meaningful. The humanity is exemplified with unselfishness, love and empathy. The readers support is what gives fillip to litterateurs, said Sudhamurti.
Bengaluru-based senior scholar B R Laxman Rao, in his presidential address said, ‘poetry is indeed a wonder. The clarity of thoughts, life experiences, persistency enables one to pen poetry that comes spontaneously,’ said Rao.
The renowned critic S R Vijayashankar delivered a talk on Literature and new generation.
Ranjan Darga from Gulbarga spoke on Literature and social response.
The retired Professor Bhuvaneshwari Hegde from Mangaluru, spoke on Contributions of comedy at par with life values.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade said that the objective of literature lies in preserving culture and traditions along with humanity. It will foster communal harmony.
