Mangaluru: AAP assures best option to govern Smart-City

Mangaluru, 26 Jul 2017: Garbage, stink and diseases everywhere. Roads not asphalted or concretised for decades. Those asphalted/concretised ones lost their surface in just few weeks due to contractor-corporator greed and corruption. Drains are not done despite big promises that are proving hazardous to commuters.

 

Governments after governments increase taxes and introduce new ones burdening the common man, but do not provide basic amenities to the people. As if that was not enough, the peaceful co-existence of people of different faiths and castes is increasingly being compromised by sowing the seeds of communal discord and disharmony.

 

 

Once extremely peaceful, wise, enterprising and naturally wealthy region is now being known for all the bad reasons. Communal tension. Garbage menace. Pathetic condition of roads. Unbearable corruption in every walks of life. And in the middle of all, our concrete jungle mafia has given the city the tag of being a Smart city!

 

Welcome to Mangalore. Mangaluru. Mangalapuram. Kudla. Kodial. Any name you may assign, it has lost its shine. It’s not the same anymore.

 

Who is to blame? Who is responsible? Intelligent residents of the city, are you not desirous of saving your city? Taking it back to the olden days of greenery, grace, grandeur and glory? Can we just switch one party with another and wait for another five years?

 

Not one, not two, far too many many issues concern the common man in the city. Every term, we have heard promises from the two national parties and the regional party. And they remain promises for another 5 years till another election. And again they come, they promise and then they loot and the life continues as ever, for the common man. No respite. Pay all taxes, but get nothing in return.

 

Intelligent people of Mangaluru! Now you have Hope. If you are ready to embrace the change, the AamAadmi Party has decided to give you an opportunity to bring about this much needed change in your city. AAP will field 60 honest and caring citizen of Mangaluru to be your representatives in the Mangalore City Corporation. And they will bring change. Complete change to gain back past glory.

 

Same change that the people of Delhi have brought about, in all basic needs, education, healthcare and medical facilities, roads, honest governance. Lower taxes and greater facilities, women safety, water, power, shelter to the homeless and more importantly infrastructure development – all in the space of just 3 years - is causing ripples in the Indian politics and winning it laurels from international agencies and the international media. People of Delhi are very happy about their decision to elect AAP as the new hope of the common man.

 

You were forced to do it in the past - Elect another corrupt party to replace one. From the hot oil into the fire, Not anymore. You can now decisively change all that was affecting you. You now can choose a party that unites the nation, unites all religions, regions, castes and tribes of the country. One who fields highly capable but non-corrupt individuals with integrity and honesty to serve you? They have no ambitions of leadership, but an eternal desire to serve you, by involving you in the decision making process and to return the power back to you through the ward committees.

 

They will strive to bring about a balanced development as acceptable to a larger population and the communities. AAP never takes any stand that is against the common man of the nation. And they do not take the funds from crony capitalists, who will expect favours done to them, as has been done by the two national parties in the past.

 

That is why the older, national parties, who only promise but never deliver, do not allow the AAP to function and serve the common man. They do not want this honest political alternative to survive. They bring all possible false accusations and divert people’s attention away from its grass root level development and other achievements in the best interests of the people.

 

AAP is proving that its common-man, aam-aadmi model of ‘Zero Corruption, Full Governance’ is proving extremely successful in Delhi. People of Punjab have trusted it and have given it the main opposition party position ahead of the combination of the local party and a national party, in its very first election for the state Assembly. Our volunteers in other states are finding great acceptance from the general public and are all set to change the political horizons of their respective states and regions in the coming months.

 

Mangalore it was, in February 2013 that held the first public meeting of AAP outside Delhi, well before the first election success AAP achieved in Delhi in November 2013. Therefore, the party is now pleased to offer a true alternative from all the corrupt and communal political parties, and to unite all Mangaloreans as one strong, intelligent community, again to achieve self-sustenance and total development by keeping the interests of its people and environment well protected at all times.

 

The nationalist parties have very conveniently centralized the power in their own hands and never took the general public into confidence in the local administrations. In spite of repeated court directions, they continue to make mockery of the system in the public administration. Few civic groups in Mangalore (wherein many of our AAP volunteers are active members) demanded the ward committee formation and thus get the public into local administration. But till date, there is not a single ward committee in Mangalore. It is time to get the local residents into the administration. AAP will form the ward committees and will bring the local people into the government administration. AAP stands for real Swaraj in principal and in practice.

 

Environment is a very sensitive area. Unless environment is taken care with due diligence, the repercussion on the coming generations will be very harsh. Our glorious and green city landscape is being converted into concrete mass in the name of development. It is time for Mangaloreans, especially the youth, to revert the city back to its glorious days of Green and Grand Mangaluru.

 

AAP promises to put an end to this hypocrisy and to be the political party with human touch and environmental awareness that reaches to all and resolves all basic necessities of the common man. AAP will stand for cleaner and greener Mangalore and will strive together with all the non-political environmental groups towards achieving Hasiru Mangaluru.

 

The people from the district and the city are being taken for a ride by the two national parties by disturbing the communal harmony. Their leaders incite the peace loving common public, who are living in perfect harmony, by giving atrocious, irresponsible, hatred spreading speeches and disturb the communal harmony. Because of these political parties, the homogeneous development of DK in general and Mangalore in particular has been greatly affected.

 

It is therefore time for the general public to realise the communal ploy of these political parties. AAP stand for one nation and one Indian policy. For Mangalore development, AAP’s only resolve is to keep Mangaloreans united, healthy, happy and in complete harmony. Dear Mangaloreans, there is no other choice, but AAP.

 

The party also wants to empower all the youth, housewives and other non-corrupt, non-communal individuals to join us in this fight to achieve equality of all – men and women, religions, regions, languages, castes and tribes.
