Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha bids farewell to Executive Committee Member Praveen Rao

Abu Dhabi, 04 Jul 2016: A farewell programme for the outgoing member Praveen K Rao was organised by Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha on the evening of July 3rd at Foodlands Restaurant.
The event started with ADK Sanghas dynamic president Sarvotham Shetty welcoming the gathering. He read a citation on behalf of the Sangha and shared his experience working with Praveen Rao as a Executive Committee Member of Sangha, NMC Toastmasters Community Chapter and IDEA Abu Dhabi and lauded him as a dedicated member who has always done his responsibilities putting his soul and heart. He also unveiled some of his achievements in his past 10 years as member of these organisations and wished him all the very best for his future life in Bengaluru.
UAE Exchange President Sudhir Kumar Shetty lauded the good service rendered by Praveen K Rao for the society. He mentioned him as a soft spoken person who has given his best to the community and was ever ready to support in Sangha’s activities.
Loyal Pinto who worked with Praveen in Toastmasters shared their experience of Toastmasters and presented a power point presentation having some memories of Praveen’s activities in UAE.
Manohar Thonse and Althaf also spoke during the programme and wished Praveen good luck. The Committee members of the ADKS later honored Praveen and his wife Shoba with shawl, Mysuru peta, citation and memento.
Replying to the honor, Praveen Rao described his younger days which attracted him towards Kannada language and his association with Sarvotham Shetty who invited him to be the member of ADKS. He thanked all the members for the opportunity given to be a member of ADKS.
Praveen Rao was a Product Development Officer at Etisalat Abu Dhabi. He has served as the President of NMC Toastmasters Community Chapter for three terms and also as Vice President - Education, Area Director and Assistant Division Director - Membership. He was the Chief Sergeant Arms during the District Toastmasters Annual Conference (DTAC) in Abu Dhabi held in the year 2009.
