Kollur: Nine-year-old girl falls off footbridge, feared drowned

Kollur, 11 Jul 2015: A nine-year-old girl slipped off a footbridge and fell into flooding river at Maranakatte near here on July 10.

 

 

The little girl identified as Vismaya (9), daughter of Shekar and Jalaja Devadiga, residents of Sanyasibettu is feared drowned.
It is said that the incident took place when Vismaya was walking towards her school. Though the girl was accompanied by her mother while crossing the bridge, the girl fell into the water and the turbulent water was flowing with such force that her mother could not give her a helping hand.

 

There has been no trace of the girl as of now.
