Joel DSa elected as president of newly formed Bellevision Bahrain

Manama, 17 November 2010: Bellevision Bahrain is formed on 16 November 2010 during the meeting held at the Bahrain Kannada Sangha Cultural Hall. The meeting started with a small prayer lead by Joel D’sa. He then spoke, welcoming the gathering of about 40 members who were present for the meeting. Joel also explained the motto behind forming the Bellevision Bahrain and requested Baptist Sequiera, Ivan D’souza and Arun Castelinho who were associated with Bellevision Dubai during their stay in Dubai to share their experience and their views on Bellevision. All the members were asked to introduce each other during this meeting.
Following committee was formed during the meeting:
President – Joel Paul D’Sa
Vice President – Francis Saldhanha
General Secretary – Ivan D’souza
Asst. General Secretary – Hilda Joel D’Sa
Treasurer – Kishore D’Souza
Entertainment Secretary – Sunil D’Sa
Asst. Entertainment Secretary – Nirmala Fernandes
Sports Secretary – Vijay D’Souza
Asst. Sports Secretary – Deena Fernandes and Sona Shetty
Membership Co-ordinator – Baptist Sequeira
All the elected committee members with the consent of all the members decided to hold the members meeting once in every two months on 2nd Friday of the month. It was also decided to hold the Belle St.Lawrence Feast on 13th January, 2011. Upon Presidents request, many members came forward to sponsor on food items, gifts for kids, etc. for the upcoming programs. More details will be finalized during the members meeting, which will be held on 7th January 2011.
Committee members will hold the next meeting in the month of December to decide on the programs. The President informed all the members on the facilities available to advertise their marriage, anniversaries and birthdays videos / photos etc. in the Bellevision website and informed them about the charges for publishing the same. He also requested them to provide articles like poems, short stories, etc. to the website.
The snacks for the meeting were sponsored by Victor D’almeida, Joel D’sa and Arun Castelinho. The banner for Bellevision Bahrain was sponsored by the D’Souza brothers, Kishore & Sannu. President thanked all the members for coming and supporting in forming the Bahrain and also requested them to continue the support in the coming days. Baptist Sequiera proposed vote of thanks.
