Golden Jubilee celebrated at Pakshikere’s St. Jude Church and Shrine

Pakshikere, 29 October 2010: "The message of all the religions is the same, have faith in God and serve for others, when everyone follow their religion completely, then it is possible to live in peace and harmony" said Sri Vishweshatirta Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Udupi. He was the chief guest during the program after the mass on Thursday. He also said that God is one; we must understand that, we all live in different religion but at the end every one goes to God. It is the Christians who taught to the world about the service to humanity.

 

The program was presided over by Archbishop of Bangalore Dr. Bernard Moras. In his presidential address he said "we all must pray to God united and all the religions teach the same message". He also said that St. Jude’s Shrine has become famous for miracles giving the psychological and spiritual peace of mind to the devotees. St. Jude Church and Shrine Golden Jubilee were celebrated in a grand manner and with devotion after a week long celebrations on Thursday 28 October 2010.

 

 

The shrine magazine ’Yatrik’ was released and the donors of the Shrine were honoured on the occasion. Founder Parish Priest Rev. Fr Stanly Pereira, MLA of Mulki-Moodbidri Abayachandra Jain, Vicar var of Kinnigoli deanery Rev. Fr Alfred Pinto, President of SSF Suratkal division P. M. Ashraf Amsadi Pakshikere, Editor of Yugapurusha Bhuvanabirama Udupa, Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, Secretary Rita Cutino were present.

 

Vice President of the Parish Council Louis D’Souza welcomed the guests. Director of Jude Shrine Rev. Fr. Alban DSouza offered vote of thanks. The Program was compeered by Vincent Pamboor.
