Mangalore: Padma Hegde elected vice-prez of Bar Council

Mangalore, 25 October 2010: Padma Prasad Hegde was elected vice-president of Karnataka State Bar Council in Bangalore on Sunday. The election was facilitated with Vijayakumar - the only other candidate in the fray - withdrawing his nomination.
An alumnus of SDM Law College, Mangalore, Hegde currently practices in the state high court and has to his credit of being the youngest vice-president of the State Bar Council.
Hegde, who passed his LLB examinations from Mangalore University with first rank, this year obtained a first rank in his LLM examinations conducted by Kuvempu University.
