I have visited this shelter for the destitutes. There is a baby which is may be 6 months old. Below waist she is motionless. She just moves her tiny hands a little. I was told that her mother had tried to abort her when she was in the womb by taking various medicines but failed. I thank Dr. Eugene D souza for visiting there and writing it in bellevision.com. It is untrue that our parish and institution does not care about local talents, there could be rare misses here and there as nobody is perfect.

Congrats to CSK for being the IPL champions, eventhough my favourite IPL team is RCB. I love Cricket but surely not in a way in which Lalit Modi packed IPL(Indian Paisa League) for us. There are some reasons behind my thinking. Firstly, the financial aspects of IPL are not only murky but an eye opener for those who thought that India was a poor nation with more than forty percent population living below the poverty line. The total value of IPL, which even Mr Modi cannot predict with surety, is expected to be around 70000 crores. This unaccounted money is available to the richest people of India. The IPL also represents a lot of public funds, my and your money, which doesn’t even get noticed. Each D/N IPL match played under flood lights, consumes electricity enough to run 500 average Indian homes for a month. Secondly, IPL is a real worry to other sports like Hockey, Tennis, Badmonton, in India. If you will get a Rs. 1 lakh(surely will increase in coming years) for just taking a single catch(Some ordinary catches were intentionally made Kamal catches), who the hell wants to play other Games??? It is surely entertainment at its best, but I will be happy if it helps other fields too.

Though there are so many controversies surrounding IPL, for us the TV viewers the whole tournament was a great entertainment. In IPL 3 most of the matches were thrilling. Congratulations to Chennai Super Kings for being the Champions this year. Royal Challengers Bangalore has improvised its position and finished in third place. Looking forward to IPL 4.
