Mangaluru: Indian National Congress observes 136th Founders Day in city

Mangaluru, 29 Dec 2020: Dakshina Kannada district Congress observed 136th Founders Day of Indian National Congress at  Congress Bhavan, Mallikatte, here on Monday December 28 morning.

 

District Congress Committee (DCC) president MLC Harish Kumar, former Karnataka ministers Congress veterans Ramanat Rai and Abayachandra Jain, former MLC Moideen Bava, Mangaluru taluk panchayat president Mohammed Monu, Shalet Pinto, Kavita Sanil, Sadashiva Ullal, T K Sudhir, DCC general secretary Khalid and others were present at the dais.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Addressing the gathering, Ramanat Rai said, ‘Indian National Congress that was founded 136 years ago, staged struggles for free India and later led the nation through the turbulent times after Independence. It faced several setbacks, but those acted as platform for coming back to take the reigns of democratic India. Meanwhile, it can regroup with strong strategy supported by its party activists to take lead roles both in Karnataka and the nation, said Rai.

 

In his preliminary address, Harish Kumar asserted the strength of party activists in facing future elections.
