Karkala, 25 May: At the joint aegis of union ministry of youth affairs and sports, Udupi district Yuva Kendra, Durgaparameshwari Friends Club®, Nandalike – Abbanadka, near here observed Anti-Terrorism Day, on Tuesday, May 21.
Padubidri home guards unit chief Kasrabail Suresh Poojary was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh said that India is known worldwide for non-violence and appealed to face terrorism and violence with their mite.
Mumbai-based Sahasra Kala Vranda secretary Jyoti S Shett was the guest of honor.
She said, ‘Wars and terrorism threaten mankind. We need harmony more than violence.’
The Club president Nandalike Rajesh Kotian welcomed the gathering and presided the programme.
Kannada Sahitya Parishat – Belman unit president Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary delivered the preliminary address.
The treasurer Abbanadka Hariprasad Acharya compered the programme and administered oath of non-violence.
