Bantwal, 13 May: A newly-wed Hindu groom organized a Iftar Meet for his Muslim friends at a mosque, since the latter were observing Ramadan fasting and not able to attend his wedding reception, being reported from Kukkila, near Kodapadav, here on Friday, May 10 evening.
Dhananjay is the bridegroom, resident of Kukkila, near Kodapadav, here organized the Iftar Meet on Friday. One-hundred-fifty Muslim brethrens of Kodapadav and Kukkila Jamaat attended the Iftar Meet at the mosque.
Dhananjay is the son of Jattanna (Jattu Maistry) tied wedding knot with Malati, resident of Perla at Sri Rama Temple, Vittal, near here on May 8.
The Muslim brethrens arrived to congratulate the groom at the reception, but did not dine fasting. Therefore, the Iftar Meet was organized in the nearby mosque for them, said Dhananjay.
He works as mechanic at Kalladka, communally-sensitive locality, near here since the past 2 years. He believes in harmonious living and set an example for others to follow.
