Bantwal, 07 Feb: Bantwal town mobile police station launched Traffic Safety Week at Melkar, near here, on Tuesday, February 5. It was held in collaboration with RTA.
Bantwal ASP Said-ul Adavat set the motion for Traffic Safety Week at Melkar Junction, here on Tuesday morning.
The bike rally to create general awareness was held from Melkar to B C Road.
Street plays were staged at B C Road to sensitize people on road safety.
Assistant RTO G S Hegde, automobile inspector Charan, circle inspector T D Nagaraj, traffic sub-inspector Manjula, town sub-inspector Chandrashekar, crime sub-inspector Harish, rural sub-inspector Prasanna, traffic sub-inspector Mohammed K and others were present.
The cops presented roses to motorcyclists near B C Road flyover to follow traffic roles. ASI Balakrishna and police personnel educated the motorcyclists on road safety.
