Udupi, 20 Mar 2018: St Mary’s College, Shirva, near here, in collaboration with Udupi district tobacco control cell held National Health Campaign on tobacco control, at the College auditorium, recently.
Chandrakala, health education unit officer of Kaup primary health center was the resource person, offered info to the students on the ill effects of tobacco and its by products.
The social activist Shaila Shyamanoor held the live demonstration on the consequences of tobacco consumption.
The College principal Professor Rajan V N presided the programme.
Natinal Tobacco Control activist Mamata Nayak Udupi was present.
The College anti tobacco cell co-ordinator Assistant Professor Yashoda welcomed the gathering and delivered the preliminary address. Ashwini and group rendered the prayers. S R proposed vote of thaks. Junia Monalisa Barboza compered the programme.
