Thieves attack guard, make vain bid to loot jewellery shop

Udupi, 22 Aug 2012: Thieves made a vain bid to burgle the Mangala Jewellers near the City bus stand  in the wee hours of August 22 , Wednesday.

 

 

Though the masked men assaulted the security guard and tried to barge in after breaking open the shutters, the  siren alarm  forced them to flee the place.

 

Locals who rushed to the spot, informed the police. The security guard Manjappa has been hospitalized.Udupi town police have registered a case.
