Belman, 12 October 2011: Among the 16 refinements of every person born in this universe, marriage is the most important refinement and this is inevitable. Today Brahmin groom cannot get a bride from the same caste!. The majority is male population in Brahman community and the minority girl population opt for higher education such as doctors and engineers and look for equivalent educated grooms. Even there are examples of quitting the tradition and going away marrying the groom from other caste.

So the Brahman grooms of profession such as purohit, cook, small businessmen, agriculturist, waiters etc. it is difficult to get the brides of same caste. Unable to find a girl from the same caste, some boys have even given up marrying. Some boys though, have been bold enough to marry a girl from orphanage and give a new life to them.

As a complement to this, a rare auspicious occasion has taken place. Belman Nitya Studio owner Mahabala Bhat, son of late Saraswthi Mahalinga Bhat from Sulya Mundekaje community has married Prashanthi, daughter of Sunita – Ananda Kulal with the consent of both the families at Muddanu Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple during Navarathri Vijayadashami, with the leadership of Bhargava Trust Secretary Vishwanatha Bhat and with the paurohithya of Archaka Shrisha Bhat and Raj Bhat, in a simple ceremony.
