NSS Unit of Milagres College organizes posters making event focussing on poverty

Udupi, 19 Sept: Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi, witnessed an engaging poster making and presentation event organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit on September 18, 2024. Held under the college’s iconic mango tree, the event focused on the pressing issue of poverty, with NSS volunteers creating and presenting thought-provoking posters. The students showcased their artistic skills and highlighted various aspects of poverty, including its causes, consequences, and potential solutions.
The program was graced by esteemed faculty members, including Mrs. Shylet Mathais, IQAC Coordinator; Mr. Jayaram Shettigar, Associate Professor, Department of History; Mrs. Radhika Patkar and Mrs. Chaithra, faculties of the Department of Commerce. Mr. Ganesh Nayak and Mrs. Shubhalatha, NSS Officers, guided and motivated the volunteers throughout the event.
The poster presentation session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students confidently explaining their creations and engaging in meaningful discussions with their peers. The event fostered teamwork, creativity, and social awareness among the participants, reinforcing the college’s commitment to nurturing responsible citizens.
