Mangaluru: COVID-19 – Public urged to donate rations to migrant laborers

Mangaluru, 05 Apr 2020: Those who wish to donate rations to migrant laborers can contact Dinesh Kumar G T, commissioner of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) – Mob: 9739577979, stated the media release issued by DK Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh.

 

Asha activists (health workers) who are visiting household families at the times of Covid pandemic by risking their lives got to be treated respectfully and courteously dealt with.  Meanwhile, those people who are found to be threatening and attacking Asha activists will be dealt sternly, cautioned DC.

 

The milk has been distributed since April 2 to the household families living in slums and coolies. It is also distributed to such families living in municipal limits since April 3.  The distribution is being done in coordination of KMF officers and local NGOs, as stated in the media release.
