Kar home minister Bommai appeals people to maintain tradition of peace & harmony

Mangaluru, 01 Jan: The veterans of Dakshina Kannada district fostered peace and harmony that contributed for economical and educational progress of the district. Meanwhile, the people of the district have to cooperate in keeping up the same tradition, urged Karnataka state home minister Basavaraj Bommai.

 

Bommai was speaking during the discussion meet that was held in restoring law and order situation in the district at Deputy Commissioner’s auditorium, here on Tuesday, December 31.

 

 

He urged the people to maintain peace and harmony with fellowmen in the society regardless of recent protests in the city.

 

He also advised to hold mega conventions only after full normalcy returns to the district as there are anti-CAA protests ongoing in the nation.

 

Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said the mega conventions should be held peacefully by mutual respect and trust among the people of different faith, caste and creed. The district administration will offer full cooperation in this regard.
