Congress stages sit-in against apathy of union & state govt for not assisting flood victims

Mangaluru, 13 Sep: Congress veterans including youth leaders and activists staged sit-in near Deputy Commissioner’s office, here on Thursday, September 12 from 10.00am to 2.00pm, against the apathy of both union and state governments in addressing the grievances of flood-victims.

 

The people have lost crops due to recent floods in 15 districts of Karnataka, several building blocks of schools and colleges were collapsed including roads and bridges. However, the central team in their itinerary to assess the flood damage skipped undivided DK district.

 

The protesters hurled slogans against BJP-led union government for their lukewarm response to flood victims.
