Bantwal: Tulu cine star Devdas Kapikad joins mission to Sustain state-run Schools

Bantwal, 06 Mar: Bale Cha Parka, Tulu theater group launched an innovative programme at Government Higher Primary School, Ajjibettu in B Mooda gram panchayat, near here on Sunday, March 4, in order to improve infrastructure at the School and student strength, under the theme, Our village, our School, our focus is on our School. The School is at the threshold of celebrating its centenary jubilee this year.

 

Addressing the gathering, special invitee Tulu movie actor Devdas Kapikad said that those who have studied in government schools adore top posts. ‘I have studied in Kannada medium and able to speak in English. Where there is a will, there is a way. English is necessary at this time to achieve significant along with Kannada,’ said Devdas.

 

 

Block Education Officer (BEO) N Shivaprakash was the chief guest said that innovations are held in the state-run schools in order to sustain them. Many parents have enrolled their children in state-run schools by relieving them from private schools. The parents can save a minimum of Rs 3 lac per year, if they compare the costs of private schools with that of state-run schools.

 

The School betterment Committee honorary president Dr Rameshanand Somayaji presided the programme.
