Bantwal: Elderly man missing whilst cutting grass near overflowing stream at Banattapalkel

Bantwal, 20 Jul 2018: An elderly man was gone missing after accidentally slipping his feet and falling into overflowing stream at Banattapalke at the limits of Uli gram panchayat, near, here, on Wednesday, July 18 evening.

 

Ahmed Beary (87) has gone missing whilst cutting grass for his cattle besides the overflowing stream. The sickle that was used to cut grass was found a few feet away on the bank, while he was nowhere to be found.

 

 

Ahmed’s son Ismail lodged complaint with Punjalkate police that his father gone missing.

 

Punjalkatte sub-inspector Satish Ballal visited the spot.

 

Bantwal fire brigade personnel and local divers are searching for his mortal remains.
