MLA Sorake lays foundation to develop Acchada-Sarkarigudde Road @ Rs 2.76 crore

Udupi, 25 May 2017: The former Karnataka minister and Kaup MLA Vinayakumar Sorake laid the foundation to develop 2.36 kilometer Acchada – Sarkarigudde Road, at the limits of Katpady gram panchayat, near here, on Wednesday, May 24.

 

The road will be developed at a cost of Rs 2.76 crore by Karnataka Rural Development Board that includes concreting 1.20 kilometers road, 1.16 kilometer asphalting, building 11 culverts. The contractor Ayodhya Suresh Shetty will execute the works with the condition to maintain the concrete road for 5 years and re-asphalt the road upon completing 5 years, said Sorake.

 

 

Katpady gram panchayat president Juliet Veera D’Souza presided the programme.

 

ZP member Geetanjali Suvarna, ZP former president Sarasu D Bangera, executive engineer K C Satish, assistant engineers Vijayanand Nayak and Hemant, TP former member Srikar Anchan, Devaputra Kotian, Ashok Rao, Prashant Jattanna, contractor Suresh Shetty Kaup, Subash Ballal, gram panchayat members were present.

 

Katpady PDO Inayat welcomed the gathering. Ashok Rao proposed vote of thanks. The retired master Appu compered the programme.
