Moodubelle: Inauguration of the Golden Jubilee celebration of St. Lawrence Highschool

Moodubelle, 04 January 2009: The Inauguration of the Golden Jubilee celebration of St. Lawrence P.U. College High School Section was held on 2nd January, 2009 at 10.00am. Very Rev. Dr. Baptist Menezes, The Episcopal Vicar of Udupi District was the president. The MLA Mr. Lalaji R. Mendon and Mr. Ananda DDPI were the Chief guests. However, the MLA due to unavoidable circumstances could not make it on time. But came after the function. The president of the function inaugurated the golden jubilee by lighting the lamp and DDPI unveiled the Logo of the College.

Mrs. Leena D’Almeida, The first batch student of high school section inaugurated Golden jubilee fund by donating Rs. 25,000.00.  The president and the Chief guest DDPI wished success for all the activities of the Jubilee and called the students for 100% results. They appreciated the discipline and progress for the institution specially in the academic side. The other guests were, Mr. Jerald Fernandes-The Member of Jilla Parishath, Mr. Devdas Hebbar-The President of Old Student Association, Mrs. Meera Lobo-President of PTA, Mr. Shashidhara Wagle-President of Panchayat, The Correspondent Fr Joswey Fernandes and the Principal Fr Paul Sequeira were on the dais.

The correspondent welcomed all the guests, The principal gave the introductory talk and mentioned the various projects undertaken. Mr. Devaraya Shanubhogue thanked all the guests. Mrs. Hilda Aranha was the MC of the function. Program concluded at 11.00’o Clock. There were many old students attended the function.
