Moodubelle: Preparatory meet on Golden Jubilee celebrations of St Lawrence highschool

Moodubelle, 31 December 2008: The meeting was held in the college auditorium regarding Golden Jubilee celebrations of St Lawrence high school recently . Around 50 peoples other than the teachers numbering 30 attended the meeting. The correspondent chaired the meeting. The principal gave the required information of the jubilee and its projects. The teachers and some of the students were given the questionnaire how to go about the Jubilee programm.

The answer is tabulated as below.
1. Infrastructure
a. Renovating the existing Hall
b. Separate computer lab for high school
c. Renovating the old building built by laterite stone.
d. Facility for the staff room – High School
e. Toilets for boys and girls.
f. Expanding the play ground.

2. Humanitarian :
a. A fund to be instituted for the poor students of high school section.

3. Academic:
a. Conduct seminars for teachers ( of our institution and of neighboring schools.
b. Inter school Competitions
c. Appoint a PT Teacher for high school section.

These are the main things which we have to give attention. The principal elaborated these things to the audience. The correspondent asked the audience how to go about in preparing for the jubilee. Mr. P.D. Kamath suggested to elect the Office bearers and to elect various committees  accordingly.
