Bellevision UAE donated Rs. Five lakhs towards the golden jubilee projects of St.Lawrence highschool

Moodubelle, 13 August 2009: In a short and significant programme, the President of Bellevision, Mr. Valerian Alva along with the former President, Mr. Elias D’Souza, handed over the Cheque for Rs. Five Lakhs to Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira, Principal of St. Lawrence Pre University College, Moodubelle on 3rd August 2009.

The amount of Rupees Five Lakhs was collected by the Bellevision from well wishers and donors in UAE towards the Golden Jubilee projects of St. Lawrence High School to be held in the last week of December 2009.

While accepting the cheque in the presence of the office staff, Fr. Paul Sequeira thanked the president, Executive Members and all the members of Bellevision in particular and all Belleans in general for their love and affection towards their alma mater who donated generously towards the Golden Jubilee Fund of St. Lawrence High School, Moodubelle. He appreciated sincere efforts, hard work and leadership qualities of Mr. Valerian Alva and his team who worked hand in hand without expecting any gain.

Mr.Valerian Alva narrated the cooperation of the Executive Committee and other members of Bellevision due to which the collection of such an amount was possible. In spite of the global melt down and recession that has been affecting the Gulf countries as well, the members enthusiastically contributed to this noble cause.

The Principal explained how the money would be spent on various projects for the improvement of St. Lawrence High School such as the renovation of the School Hall, which has already completed and enlarging and leveling of the play ground, which will be ready by November 2009 to host the Pre University Taluk Level Sports competitions.

Bellevision UAE have been contributing towards various projects of the school/College from funds generated  through their members since several years. Every year giving scholarships to the poor students who are finding difficult pay their school fees.

On this occasion Mr. Charles Quadros, Mr. Edward Noronha, Mr. Francis Lobo and Mr. Naveen Kumar were also present.
