Puttur, 11 Jul 2014: Sanskrit Association and Kannada Association of St Philomena Pre-University College jointly organized ‘Trekking and Environment Study programme’ recently.
Under these programmes, students of the college visited Bantaje Reserve Forest, Arlapadavu, near here. The students were very much impressed by the historical locations like ‘Suicide Point’ and ‘Jambri Cave’. They also conducted a study on varieties of herbal plants of this region.
This programme was organized under the guidance of Sanskrit Association director Suresh Kumar, Kannada Association director Rama Naik, political science lecturer Bharath Kumar K, English lecturer Viola Pereira and student representative Sahana Rao.
Ishwar Bhat, Govind Bhat and Ramachandra Bhat of Kadandelu extended their co-operation in organizing this programme.
