Udupi/Moodubelle, 09 May 2014: In the history of St. Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle, students of the Second Year PUC Commerce made the college proud by registering 100 percent result for the first time. All the 77 students who had appeared for the Second Year PUC Examination in March 2014 have passed the examination.
The overall PUC result including Second Year Commerce, Arts and Science of St. Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle is 92 percent. Out of a total of 152 students 140 students have cleared the examination. While Commerce has secured 100 percent result, Arts has registered 83 percent and Science 85 percent. Out of these 10 students have secured distinction, 96 have got first class marks , 29 secured second class marks and only 7 have been placed in pass class.
The following students have secured distinction marks out of 600: Rashmitha-Commerce (554), Hazel Britto-Commerce(553), Prakash-Commerce(546), Pratheeksha-Commerce(542), Assumptha-Science(540), Nitihn Acharya-Commerce(520), Nagaraja Nayak-Science(519), Derril D’Souza-Commerce(518), Amaldas Britto-Commerce (516) and Sandesh-Commerce (515).

All the first three overall ranks are from the Commerce faculty. Rashmitha has secured the first rank in the college with 554 out of 600 marks (92.33%); Hazel Britto has got second rank with 553 out of 600 marks (92.16%) and Prakash is third with 546 marks (91%).
While Rashmitha is first in Commerce with 92.33 percent, Nagaraja Nayak is first in the Science faculty with 86.05 percent and Simon B. D’Silva is first in the Arts faculty with 81.05 percent marks.
Fr. Paul Sequeira, Principal of St. Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle has expressed his happiness over the overall result in general and Commerce in particular as for the first time in the history of the Junior College that the Commerce faculty students have succeeded in securing 100 percent result. He has expressed his gratitude to the Correspondent-Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes for his support, all the members of the teaching staff for their dedicated teaching and coaching of the students, Parents-Teachers Association, Old Students Association, all the donors and well-wishers, parents and above all the students who had put in their best efforts in securing good results for the college.
