Mangalore, 22 Jul 2013: Janarogya Andolan Karnataka, in association with Koraga Development Associations Federation staged protest in front of office of Deputy Commissioner here on Monday July 22, urging the state authorities for better healthcare services at state-run hospitals.
Addressing the protestors, Janarogya Andolan member Padma urged the state authorities to provide free medicine and treatment in all the state-run hospitals in all the districts across Karnataka at all times.
Padma also urged the authorities to appoint full-time doctors in state-run hospitals rather than depending on contractual doctors, urged Padma.
Janarogya Andolan state convener K B Hobali said that Koraga community is facing hardship due to poor facility and lack of food at state-run hospitals and urged the state authorities to address them at the earliest.
Janarogya Andolan activists Ashok, Shashikala and others were present on the occasion.
