Udupi, 01 Febraury 2012: Today the shortage of professional teachers is causing difficulties. It is only possible for the young generation to develop the country towards bright future when the teachers are doing their work dedicatedly, said popular education expert and Secretary of Kodagu Academy for Education and Culture Prof. M.D. Nanjunda. He was speaking upon receiving the Silver Trophy from Alevoor Group for Education during the Annual Day celebrations of Alevoor Shantiniketana English Medium Higher Primary School.
Speaking further he said that, during this period when people are with the opinion that with money we can get quality education, for the good education it is inevitable to spend money for the quality education, he opinioned. Analyzing the state syllabus with the central syllabus, he said that making effort through bridge course is impossible and a waste effort, he said. It is not possible to measure the development by counting the numbers of Temples, Churches and Masjids, but it is possible to measure it with the number of quality education Institutions, he said.
The award was given away by District Lions governor Jayakar Shetty Indrali. District Education Deputy Director Nagendra Madhyasta released the annual magazine of Alevoor Group “All Round Alevoor”.
Group President A. Ganapathi Kini welcomed the guests and the gathering. Secretary A. Dinesh Kini made the introduction of the awardee.
Management committee Vice President Ganesh Kini and Treasurer Harish Kini were present on the occasion. School Principal Roopa D. Kini read the annual report. Shrinivasa Upadya and Teacher Sudha S. Putraya compeered the program. Teacher Vibha Adiga proposed vote of thanks.
