Udupi, 17 October 2011: With former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and other former Ministers of BJP already in jail and there are possibilities of many more Ministers going to jail, Congress delegates will meet the Governor on Monday and will request him to dissolve the government, said KPPC President Dr. Parameshwarappa.
Speaking to reporters in Udupi on Sunday he said that, including Yeddyurappa total 13 ministers are facing the criminal charges from which they face jail term. With the exception of one or two even the current Chief Minister is also facing cheating charges. These ministers are all part in the illegal activities of Yeddyurappa. Therefore, if you see in any direction, there is no right for the government to continue, so it is inevitable for dissolving the government, he opinioned.
If Chief Minister has belief in principles, if he values the law, has respect in the democracy – constitution, he should resign immediately and have to go before the people again and face the election, he urged. The arrest of Yeddyurappa is an historical incident and this is a wakeup call to all those who are in public service. Law does not forgive anyone, this is proven yet again, the arrest of Yeddyurappa is the victory of law, he said.
BJP is a party which talks about principles. I had the pride of coming to power in South India for the first time in Karnataka. But immediately after coming to power until now the illegal activities and the decisions taken by Yeddyurappa against the law has ashamed BJP in national level, he said.
