Bantwal, 04 Oct 2016: The people should join hands with the government in upgrading Kannada medium schools. The emphasis is laid on mother tongue Kannada that is easily understood by them to become well cultured in life. The parents and teachers encourage the students to pass in distinctions, said Dr Mohan Alva, chairman of Alvas Education Foundation®, Moodbidri.
Dr Alva was speaking after laying foundation for constructing centenary building at Rama Higher Primary School, Arkula, near here on Sunday October 2.
He urged the students and teachers to encourage the students for upgrading the Kannada medium schools.
The school governing council president Vajranabha Shetty, Farangipet - Monte Mariano Capuchin Monastery superior Fr Gerald Lobo, Abubakker Darimi, centenary Committee members Zafrulla Arkula, Ramdas Kotian, Sundar Shetty Kallatadame, Yousuf and A D Hegde, PTA president Laxman Kumar Kumpanamajalu were present.
The Committee president A K Jayarama Sheka welcomed the gathering. The correspondent A Govind Shenoy delivered the preliminary address. The School headmaster and centenary Committee secretary K R Devdas proposed vote of thanks.
