Mumbai, 30 Jun 2016: Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited opened its 93rd branch at basement of Gada Nivas, Narshinat Street, Masjid Bunder, here on Wednesday June 29.
The Bank chairman Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the new branch by cutting the ribbon here on Wednesday morning.
Billawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry director and Bharat Bank former chairman D B Amin, Gada Nivas – landlord Girish Gada and Pallavi Girish couple were the chief guests inaugurated the branch by lighting the lamp.
The Bank deputy chairperson advocate Rohini J Salian inaugurated the ATM kiosk, while Bank senior director Pushpalata N Salian inaugurated safe deposit lockers, CEO and managing director C R Mulky inaugurated the banking facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, D B Amin lauded the rapid strides of the Bank that had just 5 branches whilst he was serving as its chairman during 1988, has now 93 branches. Masjid Bunder has a large population of entrepreneurs and has potential for further growth.
The social activist advocate Gopal C Poojary, Mohan Kanchan, Raghu Poojary, P V Joshi, Anil Shah, Arun Nishar, Jagannat M Amin, Dhanesh Shetty Moodujappu, Vishwanat Tonse, Bank deputy general managers Prabhakar G Suvarna, Vivek S Shanbagh, Suresh S Salian, Vishwanat G Suvarna and Navinchandra S Bangera, deputy general managers Vasudev M Salian and N G Poojary, development officers Sunil Gujaran and Vijay Palan, shareholders, hundreds of customers and others were present.
The Bank directors advocate S B Amin, Harschandra G Mulky, R D Poojary, C T Salian, Bhaskar M Salian and Gangadhar J Poojary, former director N M Sanil, the Bank chief officer Anil Kumar R Amin, general manager Nityanand D Kotian, retired general manager Shobha Dayanand, the new branch manager Nikhit Nandalike, assistant manager Sasidar Bangera, staff Asha R Kotian, Uttara Savant, Pavitra Karkera, Srinat Salian were also present.
The Vedic celebrants Ulloor Shekar Shanti and Ulloor Dhananjay Shanti performed religious celebrations at the new branch. Dinesh Shanti and Gangadhar Kallady distributed the prasadam.
Hemachandra N Poojary and Sonal Amit Gujaran couple was present through Vedic celebrations.
