Mumbai, 20 March 2016: Udupi Vasudev Bhat, musical maestro of Nadhavaibhavam, Govardhan temple, Puttige mutt, Bengaluru was conferred the coveted Swarasurabhi – 2015 State Award, in the presence of musicians, music maestro, government department officials who learned music and music lovers here on Saturday March 19.
Kannada renowned litterateurs Prema Bhat, G R Subramanya and other dignitaries’ music fraternity presented the cash award on the occasion.
Indian classical musician Pandit B V Radhakrishna, journalist Shekar Ajekar, Sunanda Vasudev Bhat was the chief guests of the occasion.
Swarasurabhi chairman Sridar Iyer welcomed the gathering. M S Giridar, Vasuda and others assisted in the programme.
A musical concert was held with by the renowned musicians as part of Sangeetotsav event.
