Beltangady, 18 June 2015: Esha Sharma, Class X student of SDM English Medium CBSE School, Ujire, here bagged bronze in Asian School Chess Championship held at Singapore.
She was qualified to take part in Asian School Chess Championship by winning National Chess Championship held at Goa.
Although, Esha defeated Tejashwini Sagar who secured highest points in Championship at fourth round, Esha secured third place in overall points.
She competed with players from Philippines and Singapore and bagged the title of Women Candidate Master. She is the second to get this title from Karnataka.
Esha is the youngest daughter of Dr Srihari and Dr Vidya of Abhay Hospital, here.
The School principal Manmohan Naik congratulated Esha for her major feat.
