Bengaluru, 18 May 2015: Dakshina Kannada district stood first in in II Pre University examination results in the state, followed by Udupi.
The results were announced by Director of Pre-University Education Sushama Godbole in Benegaluru on Monday, May 18.
While Dakshina Kannada has secured 93.09 per cent results, Udupi has bagged second place by scoring 92.32 per cent. Uttara Kannada district stood third with 81.19 per cent and Gadag stood last in the results.
More than 6.1 lakh students had appeared in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. While 3.1 lakh students were boys, 4.96 lakh students were girls. A total of 82,067 were repeaters.
This time too, girls have outshone the boys with a pass percentage of 68.24 percent, as against 58.09% among boys.
As many as 47 colleges in the state have got zero pass percentage, while 55 colleges have secured cent percent results.
