Mangaluru, 27 Apr 2015: The department of Psychiatry of K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) in collaboration with Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS), Karnataka Chapter (KC) organized the state level undergraduate quiz competition at KSHEMA, Deralakatte, here recently.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean of KSHEMA.
It was presided by Dr Harisha Delanthabettu, president of IPS-KC.
Dr Mahesh Gowda, treasurer of IPS-KC was the guests of honour.
Dr Nishi Guru, Assistant Professor of department of Psychiatry, KSHEMA proposed vote of thanks.
Thirty-three teams from medical colleges from all over Karnataka participated. Among them 6 teams were selected for the final round.
Dr Santosh Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, KSHEMA, was the main quiz master.He was assisted by Dr Rajesh Nair, Assistant Professor of A J Institute of Medical Science, here and Dr Anil Kakkunje, Associate Professor, department of Psychiatry, Yenepoya Medical College, here.
Abhilash N and Arun Kumar N, students of Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences bagged the first prize, while Namratha P and Sivambika P S, students of JSS Medical College, Mysore bagged the second prize. Nandini T D and Rakshith N, students of Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences bagged the third prize.
