Bantwal, 5 Apr 2015: The driver of a Toyota Tavera car was instantly died and other three persons were critically injured in a ghastly road mishap on Netravati Bridge, Panemangaluru, on Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 75, here on Saturday April 4 afternoon.
The deceased driver has been identified as twenty-five-year-old Mohammed Riyaz, a carpenter, resident of Pittilagudde, Nehru Nagar that comes under the limits of Narikombu gram panchayat, near here.
The critically injured has been identified as thirteen-year-old Mohammed Rizwan, seventeen-year-old Mohammed Razak and fourteen-year-old Abdul Khader who are admitted in ICU of a private hospital in Mangaluru. All belongs to one family.
The Tavera was plying towards B C Road, here when the ghastly accident occurred.
The sources informed that the over speeding of marauding driver of Tavera led to the mishap. The Tavera was stuck to the engine of tanker, while it was cleared from the spot using heavy cranes.
The traffic was disrupted for sometime, till the traffic cop arrived at the spot.
Bantwal town police registered a case on the basis of complaint lodged by tanker driver Basavaraj.
The family sources said that Rizwan had taken the boys for a joy ride on Saturday afternoon, when they were taking a nap resulted in the ghastly accident.
