Mangaluru, 20 Nov 2014: ‘We have forgotten to use Hindi language during this globalization era. While All other Countries like China, Afghanistan, Japan are teaching, in the mother tongue, we are neglecting our own language,’ said Dr Jayanti Prasad Noutiyal, deputy general manager of Corporation Bank while inaugurating daylong Hindi workshop jointly organized by All India Radio (AIR) Mangalore and Doordarshan maintenance centre, Mangalore. The workshop was held at Karnataka Bank auditorium, here.
G Rameshchandran, deputy director (Engineer), AIR, here in his presidential address said, ‘Hindi language symbolizes our national integration and everybody should try to use it more and more.’
Muralidhar, deputy general manager of Karnataka Bank in his chief guest’s address said, ‘All of us can read, write and speak in Hindi language, then only we can travel any where in India,’ said Muralidhar.
S Sanjeev, director (technical) DMC, here said, ‘We need some more familiar Hindi words in technical subject,’ said Sanjeev.
Akashvani station director B V Padma said, ‘Hindi is a sweet language. We can teach Hindi language along with regional language,’ said Padma.
Fifty staff members of AIR and Doordarshan relay centre of Karnataka state have participated in this workshop.
