Mangalore, 16 Aug 2014: A case was registered against three persons for abetment to suicide of financier Shailesh who had committed suicide at his residence in Hoigebail after poisoning his wife Savitha and daughter Vidyalakshmi.
The Police also registered a murder case under Section 306 of IPC against Shailesh for killing his wife and children by feeding them ice cream laced with poison.
The police said case registered against Uday, Rajesh Shetty, and Anil was under Section 306 of IPC on the basis of a suicide note left by the deceased.
Police said that a four paged suicide note including several names was left behind by Shailesh, which reads that he took the extreme step as Uday was tormenting him with demand of money even though he had not owed him anything. Uday had even filed a police complaint with a intent of maligning my reputation. He projected that i owed Rs 2 crore which was far from truth. When my wife came to know they were horrified and didnt want to live anymore.
Incident in detail
On Thursday, August 14 Shailesh (38) his wife Savitha (32) and ten-year-old daughter Vidyalakshmi were found dead in their residence.
While Shailesh was found hanging, the bodies of his wife and daughter were recovered from their bedroom.
Shailesh an owner of Akshaya finance firm located at Chilmbi is said to have taken this extreme step due to the financial problems.
As the bodies were found in partial decomposed state the Police suspected that they might have dies on Tuesday, August 12.
A death note naming several persons was recovered in the house.
