Mangalore: Accident claims life of 17-year-old girl

Mangalore, 30 Jul 2014: A 17-year-old girl succumbed to the injuries after she was run over by a truck at Urwa on Wednesday, July 30.

 

 

The deceased is identified as Andrea Patrao, daughter of  Prabha and Alwyn Patrao, former District Governor of Lions Club - 317 D, Mangalore.

 

As per the sources, Andrea was riding pillion on a bike along with her friend. She was run over by a truck when she fell on the road after her friend suddenly applied brakes.

 

Though she was taken to the hospital by her friend, she succumbed to the injuries on the way.

 

Urwa police have registered a case.

 

The body will be kept for public view at Capitol Apartments, Flat no 402, fourth Floor, Nanthur from 1 to 2 p.m and at Mount Mary Thodam from 3 p.m to 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.

 

Funeral will be held at Kirem. The funeral Cortege will leave residence "Mount Mary", Thudam for Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem on Thursday 31st July 2014 at 4.00 p.m followed by Mass at 4:30pm.
