Mangalore: Five Generation family celebrate cradling ceremony of newborn baby

Mangalore, Jul 28, 2014 : Although the five generations of a lineage family are rare phenomena at this modern era, such a family is being found at Nadiguttu, Adyar, near here.  It was an auspicious occasion of cradle ceremony of the fifth generation baby by the first generation mother Gulabi Shetty, Pelapady, Arkula, in Bantwal taluk.

   
 
The family hailed from Kuttettoor and belongs to Kenja lineage, near here.  The names of 7 generation heads are available.  Kutty yane Korapolu belonged to seventh generation.  Her daughter Rukku Shedty was fortunate to see fifth generation baby (see pics).  Rukku Shedty hailed from Kuttettoor, Kenja.  Her daughter Gulaby Shedty was married to Sesanna Shetty, Pelapady, Arkula.

 

 

 
Gulaby Shedty’s daughter Ambavati was married to Timmappa Shetty living in Nadiguttu, Adyar, near here.  Amvavati’s daughter Sharmila married to Narayan Shetty, living in Amai village of Kadeshivalya, Bantwal taluk and is living in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.  Sharmila’s daughter Preeti was married to Vineet Shetty, living in Shibaroor.  Preeti is serving as principal of Navachetana Education Institute, Neermarga, here.  She has a newborn baby.  The entire 5 generation are over joyous of cradling ceremony.  The baby girl was named as Pranvi.
