Mangalore: DC sets uniform rate per load of sand in DK district

Mangalore, 25 Jul 2014: Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim set the rate for each load of sand, after the discussion meet held with sand block lease-holders, sand transporters and allied services including social activists, at district headquarter here on Thursday July 24 at 12.30pm.  

 

   
 
Accordingly, rate has been set for 1 load of ordinary sand (2 units) @ Rs 3,000 for the first 10 kilometers and Rs 500 for an addition of 5 kilometers.

For a load of fine sand (2 units) @ Rs 3,500 for the first 10 kilometers and Rs 500 for an addition of 5 kilometers.
