Udupi: Serving humanity noble deed indeed - Marate

Udupi, 19 Jul 2014: Vishwasadamane orphanage and rehabilitation centre of Shirva, near here has been doing humanitarian service in rescuing the destitute from the streets, rehabilitating and unite them with their own families. It’s indeed a noble task pleasing to God, said Rotary Club International (RCI) – district trainer and former assistant governor B Pundalika Marate Shirva.
Marate was the chief guest during the friendly meet organized at Vishwasadamane, here on Wednesday July 16 evening. The friendly meet was organized by Jaycees Club International (JCI) – Kaup.
Marate also lauded JCI – Kaup past president Rakesh Kunjoor, for celebrating his birthday among 160 inmates of Vishwasadamane, donating clothes. He has set an example to others, to remember the poor and hapless whilst celebrating auspicious occasions.
JCI zonal director Ratnakar Indrali, zonal officer Sandeep Kumar, Rakesh Kunjoor, Jayceeret president Soumya, Yelloor school head teacher Sharavati Rao, zonal president Deepak Kumar Yermal were present at the dais.
Speaking on the occasion, Vishwasadamane chief functionary Pastor Sunil John D’Souza said that they have been inspired by the participation of general public in humanitarian service.
Sudhakar Salian, Praveen Gurme, Jagdish Achar, Santosh P Shetty were present.
JCI president Anil Kumar welcomed and presided the programme. Ankita rendered the prayers. JCI former president and ZP member Arun Shetty Padoor compered the programme. The secretary Sandeep Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
