Puttur : Talk on Union Budget held at St Philomena College

Puttur, Jul 15, 2014 : The commerce and management Association of St Philomena College organised a talk on Union Budget - 2014 at silver jubilee memorial hall, here on Monday July 14.
The College vice principal Professor Vishnu Bhat presided the programme.
Professor Vishnu Bhat in his presidential address explained the different facets of the Union Budget.
The resource person financial analyst Jayaprasad Moleyar said, ‘For a common middle class man the important aspect of the budget becomes the personal income tax, but as commerce and management students you should be concerned about the totality of the budget,’ said Moleyar. He explained the different allocations of the budget and pointed the source and the prudent expenditure of the govt. He told the students that it is important to do analysis of the budget so that they can understand implications better.
The department of commerce and management dean and head Professor Maxim Carl was present.
The commerce and management Association president Pavan John Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering. Rajgopal proposed vote of thanks. Helma compered the programme.
