Kuwait: Countdown begins for Silver Jubilee Celebrations of KCWA

Kuwait, 22 Apr 2014: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), an organization of Catholics in Kuwait hailing from different parishes of Mangalore and Udupi dioceses will be celebrating their milestone event at American International School, Hawally, here on Friday April 25 at 3.00pm.
The celebration of KCWA’s 25th anniversary, with various activities and events which commenced in July 2013, will culminate with the mega celebration on April 25. The preparations are under way for the mega event and entertainment unlimited is in store for its audience.
The first half of the programme will be a musical extravaganza titled ‘Retro to Metro,’ performed by renowned artistes and musicians coming all the way from India. The internationally renowned Konkani drama, ‘Aami Nathylaa Vellar…’ will be presented by the artistes of Daiji Rang Mandir, Dubai on the same occasion.
Bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo of Udupi diocese, International Federation of Karnataka Christian Association (IFKCA) president and philanthropist NRI Ronald Colaco, Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo will be the guests of honor.
Caesars Group of Restaurants and ISSNAD Urban Development are the key sponsors of the show.
KCWA was founded by Francis Misquith, Elias Saldanha, the late Charles Vaz and the late Johnny Misquith in July 1988 with a mission and a vision to help in the upbringing of unprivileged children and families has today grown into a gigantic tree. As of today, approximately Indian Rupees 2.8 crore has been donated towards the education and humanitarian needs in India and Kuwait, a major share of which is directed towards the cause of education for children in the rural areas in Karnataka.
