Mangalore: Rohit’s mortal remains finally rested at Arabian Sea; No breakthrough in Police Pro

Mangalore, 14 Apr 2014: The mortal remains of twenty-two-year-old Rohit Radhakrishnan was immersed in the Arabian Sea here on Sunday April 13 by his uncles’ sons - Sreeraj, Krishnaraj and Ajay Sathya.
Rohit Radhakrishan was the final year student of A J Institute of Medical Science (AJIMS), Mangalore, when his brutally mutilated body was found on the road side of Tannir Bhavi here on Sunday March 23.
After a hasty preliminary inquiry, Panambur police had written off the case as a freak accident, and registered a FIR under IPC section 279 and 304 (A) owing to pressure exercised by the family. On analyzing the situation in which Rohit’s body was recovered with head served and mutilated torso, his parents, relatives, media and the society cried foul and demanded for a fair and impartial investigation to establish the circumstances led to the murder and to book the culprits behind it. After a long hue and cry, Panabur police had filed a fresh FIR on murder under IPC section 302 after collecting a fresh complaint from his parents.
The pain for the grieving parents will never subside unless the culprits behind the gruesome murder of their son is booked and brought under the arm of Justice!
