ICYM Mangalore Diocese organizes Bhoktik Lharanchi Sanz

Mangalore, 08 April 2014: The lenten special eve of ICYM Central Council Bhoktik Lharanchi Sanz attracted appreciation from the dignitaries as well as the crowd gathered.
This program was organized at St. Agnes special school grounds on Saturday 5th April.
The Bishop of Mangalore, Dr. Aloysius Paul D’souza who presided over the function appreciated the organizers for organizing this unique program.
He said “By organizing this program our youth have proved to the society that they are devotional too” “Jesus believes in today’s youth. Hence youth in-turn should keep their trust on Jesus and the rest will happen automatically.”
Quoting the concern by Pope Francis towards the youth he said that the church is youth oriented and is concerned about the well-being of the youth.
The other dignitaries Mr. Raymond D’souza, the national advisor of ICYM and Mr. RonaldCastelino, the President of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy also spoke on the occasion.
The Bishop Later inaugurated the two new books of the ‘AmchoYuvak’ prakashan, ‘ShibiraSangathi’ and ‘BhognaAnkretana’ on the occasion.
The newly appointed President of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, Mr. RonaldCastelino was felicitated by the bishop.
The Author of the book ‘ShibiraSangathi’ Rev. Fr. Prakash Monteiro, Parish Priest of Bendore Rev. Fr. Antony Serrao, Youth Director of Mangalore Diocese Rev. Fr. Ronald D’souza, President of ICYM central council Mr. Sheldon Crasta, secretary AshwiniD’souza were present at the occasion.
The spiritual program was the mixture of singing. dance, and enactment which showcased the story of the mankind from the creation till the redemption of it by Jesus Christ and specially giving a message to practice forgiveness and reconciliation i.e. the message of Year of Confession in Mangalore Diocese.
The artists coming from various corners of the Diocese, set the present in waves of spirituality with their fabulous performance’s.
