Mangalore: SMS Helps Police to nab killers of call centre employee Avinash

Mangalore, Apr 3 : Mulky police found breakthrough in a mysterious murder case of twenty-one-year-old Avinash, a call centre employee, here on Wednesday April 3.

 
Avinash, son of Vidyanand, a native of Bola in Karkal taluk and twenty-one-year-old Sushma Priscilla, daughter of Maben, a native of Kolagikambla, Mulky, near here was working in a call centre at Morgans Gate here and were in deep love since the past 4 years.

 
Avinash had a verbal abuse with Sushma while working at call centre on Monday March 31 night.  Meanwhile, the head of their department screened the mobile of Sushma’s mobile phone and was convinced of their love affair sacked Sushma in the middle of the night.

Sushma was angry over the incident, instructed a certain twenty-year-old Harish, who is a native of Tiptur living in Mulihitlu, here to murder Avinash.

 
Avinash set on the task took rest at Suratkal bus stand and waited for Avinash at Pavanje, near here on Tuesday early morning.  When Avinash arrived in his bike at Pavanje, Harish drove his Tata Sumo 4 WD on Avinash who died on the spot.  Harish left the spot with the mobile phone of Avinash, which he gave it to Sushma.  Meanwhile, Sushma tried to destroy the mobile SIM, but police were successful in recovering the same.  The SMS sent by Sushma proved her key role in the heinous crime.  Harish took shelter in a friend’s house at Attavar, here.

 
The police arrested both Sushma and Harish and presented before the judge here on Wednesday April 2.  The judge awarded judicial custody to both Sushma and Harish for 15 days.

 
Sushma’s family is in distress now, as wedding of her elder sister was scheduled to be held   on April 24.

 
The mortal remains of Avinash was cremated by his family after the autopsy at Wenlock Hospital here.
