Udupi: St Mary’s College, Shirva Convenes PTA Annual Meeting

Udupi, Mar 30, 2014 : The governing council of education institution, parents and teachers ought to share equal responsibility for the all round progress of students pursuing higher education. The students ought to develop social concern and research capabilities along with their studies, said Fr Stany Tauro, correspondent of St Mary’s College, Shirva.
Fr Tauro was speaking during the annual meeting of parents – teachers Association (PTA) of St Mary’s College, Shirva, near here on Saturday March 29.
Fr Tauro released a research book on The marketing situation of farm produce in the neighbourhood of Shirva that was prepared by the students of final year B A.
The College principal Professor Rajan V N in his presidential address briefed on the responsibilities of parents in the progress of students.
PTA president Juliet D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The secretary Professor Ronald J Moras presented the report. Professor Radhakrishna Bhat presented the annual accounts. Professor Pascal D’Sa conducted the proceedings of elections for parents – teachers Association.
Professor Padmanabha Bhat welcomed the gathering. The joint secretary Precilla D’Souza was also present.
