Mumbai: United Ways of Vision, Nallasopara (W) organizes Blood Camp on Foundation Day

Mumbai, 20 Aug, 2013 : United Ways of Vision (UWV), a social welfare Trust of western suburb of Nalasopara, which supports and helps under-privileged people, celebrated their sixth Foundation Day at St Francis De Sales Church, Nalasopara (West) here recently.
A blood donation drive in association with Sarla Blood Bank, Vasai, was held on the occasion.
Altogether 112 people voluntarily donated their blood.
Fr Johnson Gonsalves inaugurated the programme.
The local corporators Anil Bhogle and Vijay Rane and other political leaders Arun Jadhav, John Peter, Vijay Mandvakar, Ajay Dabholkar, Santosh Tembvalkar, Dhanjay Gawade and Angre lauded the social concern of UWV.
Nallasopara (West) parish priest Fr Baptist D’Souza cut the cked to celebrate Foundation Day.
Wilson Pereira, an upcoming businessman of same parish was present at the dais.
The meritorious students of SSC, HSC, graduation and post-graduation were felicitated on the occasion.
UWV office bearers felicitated trustees Philip Sequeira couple, Donald D’Souza couple and Randlaf Netto couple on their silver wedding jubilee, besides J B Fernandes on his fiftieth birthday.
UWV honorary secretary Donald D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The honorary secretary Joylan Fernandes briefed on Trust activities. Arun Pinto proposed vote of thanks. Preeti Sequeira compered the programme.
Earlier, all the members along with their family offered a special Thanksgiving Mass.
This was followed by an entertainment programme. Baby Prinal Fernandes, Linet Thomas, Andrea D’Souza and Baba Gracian Rodrigues showcased their dancing skills.
A family dinner was arranged for the members and guests present.
